Give back by learning to be stewards of your environment. Taking of the Earth isn't just about using less or even choosing "sustainable" products. It's really about living in a way that benefits your environment. Every time we harvest a wild plant we look for ways that we can take a "gardeners attitude" to the area that we are harvesting. That might mean scattering the seeds of a rare plant or removing a few saplings from a dense stand to allow more space for the others to grow. Come spend a day with us care-taking our own urban wilderness. Alton Baker Park is a gem in the middle of downtown Eugene and we will be giving back by removing "invasive" species and through gaining a better understanding of the flora of our bio-region.
